The First Mechanical bank was patented by Hall in 1869, U.S. Patent No. 98055. He called it, "Hall's Excelsior." Between 1869 & 1900 there were over 200 different cast iron toy mechanical banks made, but by 1902 Sears carried only one in their catalog, "Kicking Mule", Priced at 85 Cents.

How the bank operates.
When you put a coin on the back of the cow, you then press the yellow flower. once the flower is pressed, the cow will kick, causing the person to fall back, his arms to go up and the milk to spill on his face.
